We LOVE to play golf.  There are many great golf courses on Maui.  Many of them are quite expensive, like the Plantation Course at Kapalua where the PGA Mercedes Tournament is played.  The opposite extreme is the Waiehu Municipal course near Wailuku.  This course can be played by the public for $50.  Reservations taken 2 days in advance.  For a real treat, play the courses on Lanai.

Take Ferry to Lanai for the day
Snorkle on Honokeana Bay for turtles
Hang out at Kapalua Beach, Slaughterhouse, or Honolua Bay
Horseback riding into Haleakula crater
Golf at Kapalua
Drive around north side toward Kapalua all the way to Wailuku for lunch
Visit Frank Loyd Wright clubhouse at Waikapu Country Club 
Hiking
Drive upcountry to Makawao and Haiku

Snorkeling is another thing we like to do.  We like Honokeana Bay near Napili where there are always large sea turtles.  I once saw a monk seal in the water from about 5 feet.
